Our name is simple, and so is what we do. Oro comes from the Greek word oros, meaning mountain, and cafe is coffee. Orocafe is mountain coffee.
It is named for the mountains of Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Arabica grows on the slopes of Mount Elgon and the Rwenzori Mountains, and robusta grows wild in our forests. Our farmers grow these coffees, and we roast and pack them at origin in Kampala.
